Joining Our Practice From Another
Local Practice
If you are considering joining the
practice and are registered with a
neighbouring practice in Keynsham
please make an appointment to
discuss this. This discussion, of
course, takes place in complete
confidence. It will give you an
opportunity to decide whether
changing is in your best interests.
If you have moved
to the Keynsham/Saltford area
permanently and you have not been
registered with a local GP in the
area, you can register with the
practice by checking with reception
staff that your address is within
the local boundaries. To register
you will need to produce evidence of
ID with a form of picture ID
(passport or driving license), and
proof of residence (utility bill,
bank statement, or driving license).
You will be asked to complete a
couple of registration documents,
and provide your NHS number on these
documents. Once the documents are
completed in full and evidence of
identification and residence are
produced and accepted, you may be
registered with the Practice.
Temporary Residence
If you are staying in the area for a
temporary period of time and require
medical treatment, if you have a
local temporary address, you can
register and receive treatment for
up to 3 months. You will need to
complete a registration document and
produce identification in the form
of a picture ID. You will need to
know your existing GP’s address
details to register temporarily.
Reception staff will be happy to
assist you.
