Patients on
regular medication will require
repeat prescriptions and for a safer
and speedier service, repeat
prescriptions are now computerised.
Your doctor will have entered into
the computer what medication you are
taking, and each time a new
prescription is written by the
computer a new request form is also
generated for your next request.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept
repeat requests by telephone.
Please
bring the computer generated repeat
request or a handwritten request to
reception indicating which items are
to be repeated if there are several
listed. Alternatively, drop it into
the post box outside the surgery
gates.
We can also
accept repeat requests by:
Fax on telephone number 0117 9865061
By email at
repeat.prescription@gp-L81073.nhs.uk
(Please be aware that this
email address is not secure.)
Please include
the patient’s name, address,
date of birth and the exact
medication required. If you
would like us to forward the
prescriptions to a chemist,
please indicate this clearly on
the request.
We can forward your
prescriptions to the local
chemists in Keynsham; Boots,
Large Lloyds, Small Lloyds and ASDA pharmacy at Longwell Green (see opening times for ASDA Pharmacy). For Saltford patients, we can forward these to the Saltford chemist.
Please allow 48
hours for the surgery to process
your request. When requesting a
prescription to be sent to a
chemist, please allow an additional
3-4 days before collection as the
medication may need to be ordered.
Please check with your chemist on
the timescale for collecting
prescriptions.
Requests at our Severn Way Surgery,
or after 10.30 am at the Park Road
Surgery, will take longer so please
allow an extra day for these before
collecting from the chemist.
